The News

Nowhere near daily. I've been really busy lately. Bear with me and I'll get this going on a more regular basis again.

August 4, 2004: Still attempting to appear busy at work. There were massive layoffs here yesterday. I survived by the fact that I'm leaving of my own free will in three weeks. My boss still says she will try to get me back into the company when I return from Europe in December/January. We might even have work to do - fancy that!
Am currently attempting to plan a trip to Whitby, UK for the Whitby Gothic Weekend in October. I've found accomodations for all but one night. Maybe I'll just stay awake that night... It's a thought.
For any of you out there with money, I'm now accepting donations. I will not be working much from the Netherlands and can use all the help I can get. There's a button up on the main page and I will put one at the end of this post. If you're really looking for updates on what your favorite Mistress is doing, hit up the LiveJournal as I post there almost every day now. You're always welcome to e-mail me as well. I've increased my storage capacity on e-mail so there's plenty of space.
July 25, 2004: Happy anniversary of the last post! A year later and I'm still bored at work. At least now I have a reason to update the news page and stuff. I've been on LiveJournal a whole lot more, especially lately. I also have new pictures but unless people request them they don't get to see them. :-P You'll just have to e-mail me for it... and BEG! OK, you might need to offer things. Wonder if I could charge for these actually...
It's actually really funny to see the post from a year ago. Those side projects of transcription turned into a company that incorporated July 1, 2004. Check out the website for it. You can also contact me through there but it's more difficult. I'm also still employed at deNovis as a Business Analyst.
Other news... other news... well, given the infrequency of posts, you'll be happy to know that my furniture did eventually arrive and my apartment is pretty nice. I have a new roommate. He's from South Africa and he's a tennis instructor in Sudbury. Very chill guy.
I'm also still in grad school. I made straight A's this year and will be going abroad to Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands (that's Holland). Please come visit me. I'll also be traveling to the UK at various points throughout my stay in Europe and possibly to other places as well. I'm considering doing a weekend in Rome too.
Went to London again earlier this month and had a great time. I took a class at Imperial College and made some inroads at Bank of America and saw friends and made news ones and it was good. Very much looking forward to returning.
That was possibly my longest post on here ever. Like I said, go to the LiveJournal for better info. I'll try to update this sometime before the next anniversary.
July 25, 2003: I'm at work. It's early. I'm exhausted. There's nothing new on the site but I'm so bored here right now that I just needed to give myself a project. This mini-update is it. I've been doing "data mining" (i.e. research) on the same three sites on the internet for two weeks now. I know the sites inside and out. At this point, I can almost anticipate what links a search will result in. Not only that, I'm about to fall on my face. I need more coffee. I need caffeine pumped intravenously. This week has been difficult. I took on some side projects doing transcription and, thanks to some various things going wrong in doling out responsibility for it, I missed my deadline and had to pick up the slack. One more example of why I don't like working in groups. Anyway, I got it all done but only at the expense of going to bed at 1 or 2 every morning and getting up at 7. ~taps temple with index finger~ Think... Think... Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.................... Tired! I'm on AIM and MSN Messenger all day every day and am available via e-mail at all times. Please give me something to do!!!
July 1, 2003: Just one tiny update from before. I put up a page of pictures of Walter. Enjoy!
July 1, 2003: I got a job!!! OK, I know that's not the first thing you'd expect me to say after a LONG hiatus but I'm really happy! I started today and, believe it or not, I actually found it challenging. Never mind the fact that it's in my field.
For those who haven't talked to me in ages, I have a boyfriend! He's wonderful. His name is Walter and he will shortly have his own picture page, maybe even tonight if I get abmitious. He's in Industrial Design and he paints and he does photography and he's completely the opposite of me which makes him even more perfect!
Also for those of you who weren't previously aware, I'm continuing on to graduate school in the fall at Brandeis for my Masters in International Economics and Finance. My apartment here in Massachusetts is not shaping up quite as I'd like but since Kentucky swallowed my furniture I'm not too surprised.
Shout outs this week go to Walter for taking me to the beach for the first time in about four years and letting me sleep on his parents' couch and being terrific ~big kisses~, Krysta for letting me crash at her place after the airline decided it couldn't handle a little rain, Maryanne for the free trip to Niagara Falls, Dave for putting up with me as a roomie with no furniture, deNovis for hiring me, my parents for supporting my grad school decision, Brandeis and Suffolk and BU for accepting me, and a slew of other wonderful things. I'll be around alot so e-mail me.
November 30, 2002: I can't believe it's been a month since I last updated this page! My goodness how time flies! Thanksgiving went well up here in snowy Syracuse. The parents are in for the weekend and I am playin chauffer in exchange for good food and presents. So far I've gotten a pretty sweet deal. Clothes, leather, meals, more leather... it all works out. I'm trying hard not to miss my bois but it's so lonely with no one on campus. ~sniffles~ I'll just have to deal with it for another day and a half or so and content myself with going to the football game tomorrow and chillin' with Tom on Sunday. ;-) BTW, major shout outs to Tom for taking me to the speed shop and putting bad ideas in my head about what I could do to Draven. Also, shout outs and Congratulations to Casey and Justin for getting engaged. Good for you both! ~hugs~ See you in 2004.
In any case, there's new stuff on the Exercises in Hilarity page, including some new quotes linked off of there. I'm working on getting some more dissertations up pretty soon. Just need to get past finals before I can edit and revise and all that. If you check my page regularly and have not yet become a member of the fan club, please do so. It's not really a fan club but I tend to post on there when I update this page so you can get notices about new additions to the site. If anyone's in the area tonight, please call my cell phone. My parents are taking friends and I out to dinner and I want to make a good showing so they think I'm popular. Best wishes to all. E-mail me if you need to reach me or IM me at BellonaChk or MistressBellona. Bye for now.
October 28, 2002: Classes, homework, tutoring, interviews, grad school apps, and all that good stuff have been keeping me from updating as often as I should. How dare they!?! Some shout outs: Carl for getting me into the Red House party, Max for making me think evil thoughts (like how I'm gonna' get back to the UK ASAP), Charlie at 47 Park Street who I guarantee isn't seeing this but fixed the problems on my credit card, Jason for two dinners and a movie now (I owe you Ichiban), Steve-Walter-Wilfredo for a damn good week!, Jeff for letting me distract him and for being eye candy in an otherwise boring class, my father for finally calling me, the fixit guy at Flint the other night for shutting off the alarm that was driving me mad, Krysta because she'll be here this weekend, and Jayson for getting me in to this week's even on the guest list... right? ~winks~
New to the site this week, I've put up a link to pictures from the Rubber Ball. They're off TGS so you can thank Leonardo for them. Also, I'm starting a page entitled Exercises in Hilarity based off the links page. Just a bunch of funny stuff from wandering about. If you run across anything that fits the scheme, please e-mail it to me along with a caption and I'll put it up. Also, I've put up a couple links to friends' pages. That's all for now. Still working on writing up the story of the London trip. Give me a while on that as I have a huge test tomorrow (ECN 566: International Macroeconomics and Finance) and must study like mad today. KIT everyone!
October 14, 2002: Back from having a terrific time in London! Pictures to be up shortly. I've been crazy busy for a while now but that should be settling down this week thanks to the fact that I had two midterms this morning. I've been living life in vinyl lately... it really is very comfortable. Big shout outs to Leonardo for putting up with me in London, Heidi for being an awesome person and a new friend, Max for being a sweetheart and keeping me sane for our few brief evenings together, Eric and Mikey for giving me a place to crash before and after the trip, Shaun for a very interesting last night, Jeff for helping me study for one of the tests today and distracting me for the rest of the time, Kathy for keeping me from nervous breakdown due to sleep deficit, and anyone I've missed for lack of memory capacity. Drop me an e-mail if you want to catch me or look for me on AIM. More to come soon.
